Hi welcome to my blogging income report for November.

I got all of my posts scheduled out for November but I decided to make it a little harder on myself and up it to 3 posts a week.

I’m glad I did it but now I have to keep up with it so I’m freaking out a little bit. I only have 1 post scheduled out for December so far so I’m going to shoot for 2 a week and then once I have that done go back to three. Or maybe I can make a short post??? Honestly haven’t decided yet.

I’m also a little worried cause I have a slow season coming up in January and February so I expanded my niche again into fashion (like work outfits, etc) so that will affect my ranking but hopefully, it will help in the long run.

I feel like blogging, at least for me, is making decisions and standing by them so now i have another niche to write about lol.

Also this month Amazon changed their image link thingy so I’ve spent a lot of brainpower on it trying to figure it out. I even paid for a new plug-in but it was bad so I got a refund.

BUT I join a Blogging Facebook group and I’m waiting for someone to figure it out or make a new plug-in. Aka leaving that up to future Alli to deal with.

I know some bloggers were talking about leaving Amazon Associates but people shop there everyday so no way am I going to leave at least right now.

If your from the US, you know that also in November we have Thanksgiving and that means a break from school. I was hoping to do some blogging to make post for December but my family and I stayed with my grandparents and there was no time.

I also have finals in a week so I’m hoping to make those posts asap and not go on my blog for a week. I love my blog but I paid too much for these classes to fail.

November 2023 BLOG INCOME REPORT (+ TRAFFIC)

(I am only reporting income that was made in November 2023. Due to most of the programs I am making money from taking around 60-90 days to be deposited into your bank account, I will post the proof of income when it is deposited.)

Proof Of Income:

In November 2023, I made $1,927.55 from my blog. Here is the breakdown on where that money is coming from.

  • Affiliate Income – $67.74
    • Amazon Affiliates: $67.74
  • Advertising – $1,859.81
    • Mediavine: $1,859.81

Page Views: 58,000

TOTAL: $1,927.55

The total amount above is before any taxes have been taken out. I searched around and bloggers are saving 30% to put towards taxes so that’s my plan too.

As you can tell, my income this month is coming from Mediavine mostly. I also had a very slow month due to not having any seasonal posts for November (ie. Thanksgiving). I’ll fix that next month but I think it’s safe to say, my minimum monthly income is $1,800.

I also need to have my images changed for Amazon by January 1st so I’m preparing to pay someone to help me change them but until I find a plug-in to help I’m not touching it yet.

Another thing I am thinking of paying for is an official Google email, right now I have the one from Bluehost so I don’t see my emails unless I check. I’ll prob do this in January.

If you read my previous income report (click to read here), I had more views last month but I’m not worried about it. I decided to not post any Thanksgiving or November seasonal content so that makes sense. (I have a blogging friend from Pinterest and she is experiencing the same thing.) It should go up in December but then back down for January and February. I always knew blogging wasn’t a constant income but I want to have something for every month.

I am SO happy with my SEO plan cause my views from Google are still going up and it means I’m doing something right! Yay.

Also someone emailed me asking to sell my website and if your goal is to sell your website I have some information for ya. They said the average amount a website is sold for is 35 times the monthly income. I’m not selling my website but holy shit – that’s $70,000!

Another thing I worked on in November was updating my next year’s content calendar. I want to have it planned 6-months out but I learn new things every day so I think I’m going to stick with 3-months out for now.

I also started posted on Instagram and had them scheduled out on Tailwind but I stopped. I def was shooting for the stars and thought I had more time on my hands. I do want to work on it in the future but I think I’m going to wait to hire someone for it.

With blogging, you sit and work on your laptop the whole time and I’m doing the same thing with school so I noticed I have been gaining weight. If you have been blogging for a while, you will understand what I mean so I’ve also been working on going to the gym more and making it a bigger priority in my life.

This month I also went ahead and linked this blog to my main blog and that brought some traffic. I was hesitant cause this is like my little diary that I can look back on but then I realized I am doing well. Like I feel like an imposter sometimes when I write these cause I feel like I don’t know anything but I suspect everyone feels that way.

So again this is just stuff that is working for me and I’m still constantly learning.

You might be asking if I met my business goals for November and…

Business goals for November

  • Edit old posts. I still have posts up from a year ago and the lord knows they need to be updated lol. I also need to fix the affiliate links and SEO in the post.
  • Think about my email subscribers. I really want to have a blogging email list and a college email list but I feel like that will take a lot of time so I am giving myself the goal of just thinking about doing it and maybe starting in the new year.
  • Make 1,000 pins and schedule them. I LOVEDDDD when i had everything scheduled out on Tailwind and just forgot about Pinterest so i want to do that again before Christmas comes so i can spend time with my family.

I am still in the process of editing old posts. I’m expecting it to take me about 6 months so I’m doing this when I have time.

I only have about 150 email subscribers right now and I would like that to increase but with finals next week and Christmas coming up, I am leaving that to January Alli.

This month, I went through my Pinterest and saw what was working the best so I am actually changing my strategy (just in one area) but I’ll tell you what I’m doing next month to see if it works.

I’m not going to make any goals for December cause of finals and Christmas. I want to give myself time to spend time with my families and be fully present so I am also thinking about giving myself two weeks off of posting. We will see next month if I did.

OHH another thing I stressed about this month was my ad frequency. I’m in MediaVine but that income does not come in till February. I hate ads on websites but I’m broke so this month I brought my ad frequency down but then changed my mind after a few days. My ads are still low compared to other websites but I need to keep thinking of this as a business and businesses have ads.

Okay that’s it for my November blogging income report! As always comment or email me hello@wereadulting.com if you have any questions.
