1. Mattress Pad
The mattresses on the dorm beds are awful and I’m not exaggerating. His back will be hurting after one day without one.

2. Mini Fridge
Your son is going to need a mini fridge. My roommate kept using mine cause she didn’t think she would need it. However, in the dorms, you don’t have access to your own kitchen or a place to keep cold stuff (unless you have your own fridge).

3. Vacuum
Men or at least guys in college are TERRIBLE at cleaning. One guy’s dorm room was so bad that they thought a cleaning lady was supposed to clean it.

4. Tv
Men love their TV’s and college guys are no different.

5. Microwave
This is another essential that 99% of college students have in their dorm.
He can bring something back from the dining halls and reheat it that night instead of having to throw away food or go hungry.

If your son is having to use the communal bathrooms, he is going to need a shower caddy.

College is expensive so I recommend buying a set of dorm bedding instead of them separately.
8. Tool Kit
So many people forget to pack a tool kit but it comes in handy.
My dad bought me one for college and I used it whenever I had a problem (and it can teach them a lot of great skills).
9. Towels
Do your son a favor and buy him fresh towels.
10. Laundry Basket
He’s going to need a place to put his laundry and hopefully, this will encourage him to actually wash it.
