From college classes to working a job, we do not have time to spend hours cleaning every day so it’s very important to get products that work.
It’s also important the products we do use, are not crazy expensive and hard to find.
All of these products you can find from Amazon, Target, and really anywhere you buy your groceries. Plus all of the brands we linked are ones that I use and more importantly, can afford to use.
10+ Apartment Cleaning Supplies I Use As A Broke College Student
1. Cook top cleaner
If you don’t have a cooktop cleaner, then you need to get one.
They are designed specifically to clean the stove so you know they work well.
2. Disinfecting wipes
When soap doesn’t work these are great to use.
You can use them in the bathroom, countertops, and anywhere else that needs a fresh clean.
3. Dish scrub
This is by far the best dish scrub I have seen and used!
It works great for pans, dishes, and even cups.
4. sponges
Sponges are a must-have for cleaning the tables, dishes, and anything else. So I like to buy a few and have them designated for certain items.
5. soap
Soap goes a LONG way so use it.
Most of the time you just need soap, water, and a good scrub. Stores have them by the gallon so I buy that one so I don’t have to remember to buy it.
6. cascade dishwasher pods
With dishwasher pods, I feel like your parents pick one then you use the same one. This is why I use Cascade.
It works great and is cheap so I love the brand.
7. swifter sweeper
If you have hardwood, get a swifter sweeper on top of your broom and vacuum. It is super easy to use and does the job of making the floor look spotless.
8. air-freshener
If you are going to buy anything from me, buy these air fresheners.
They make your apartment smell so good 24-7. I have mine by the door so people smell it when they walk in.
9. windex spray
Windex spray is the best product I have used on glass so far so I love it and it’s a must-have on my cleaning checklist.
10. toilet wand
Everyone hates cleaning their toilet so this eliminates you from doing it and cleans it.
11. cordless vacuum
I have carpet in my apartment so I must have a vacuum to clean it. If you do, I highly recommend buying a cordless one because it makes cleaning SO much easier. Plus saves you time by having to deal with the cord.
