Are you traveling to Miami for Spring Break? Here is everything you will need to know about clubs, outfits, food, hotels, and more!
Disclaimer: This post is made for college students who want to go to Miami to party. I do not recommend reading this post if that is not you.
Hi, springbreakers!
You have probably heard the whispers or the Snapchat stories that Miami is the place to be for Spring Break. Or maybe you want to channel your inner Alix Earle. Either way, this travel guide will help answer any of the questions you have, from someone who went!
The top question I got about Miami was how old do you need to be? You have to be 21+ to party in Miami. Every single location I could find (and I looked at a LOT) is 21+ so sadly leave your younger friends behind on this trip.

Hotels
My friend and I stayed at the Yotel in Downtown Miami because we wanted to be close to Club Space and E11even. Here’s a few pictures of it.
A few other benefits of this hotel was the price (obviously we were on a budget!) and the amenities. It has a full restaurant, pool, and lounge bar on the roof.
I loved the vibe of it and if I go back, I would stay here again but you can look on Expedia or Google to find one you like.
Food
When your traveling, you have to think about food and Miami more than delivered.
Within walking distance, you can find amazing local restaurants like the Marytierra, Urban Pizza, Burgers, Pasta, etc.
Marytierra Resturant
This was a local restaurant we stopped at, on the last day of our trip. I like to try new things whenever I travel so this Peruvian place was perfect.
The only thing to note is if you are not great with spice, get none or very light. Medium will not work well (take my word for it lol).
Vela Miami
This restaurant was in my hotel so I got carry-out and ate it in the room. The mushroom pasta was good but the Guacamole was even better.
I highly recommend you stay in a hotel with a restaurant cause after partying, the last thing you want to do is walk far.
Urban Pizza Cafe
I got pizza on the first night we arrived due to just driving 10+ hours and wanting to lay in bed for a few hours. Highly recommend this route especially if you want to save money.
Clubs
Out of respect for the people in the club, I will not be posting the pictures taken in the club besides the one of the DJ on the second floor.
It’s also important to note that there were many other clubs but Club Space, E11even, and LIV are the top ones so I’m just going to talk about them.
People in Miami start pregaming at 1am and then head to the bars around 2:30am so make sure you get a Power Nap in to last through the morning.
At Club Space and E11even you will be waiting in line for about 30 minutes or less. They have a lot of employees so it runs pretty smooth.
Almost every night, they will be having an event and a ticket to them can range from $50-$200 so make sure to check their website before you go. You can also get it for cheaper if you arrive early.
The special thing about Club Space, besides the three floors, is how the roof is clear so you can watch the sunrise and drink mimosas.

Outfits & Dress Code
For the first night, I wore a brown mini dress with black heels and black crop jacket.
The second night, a checkered skirt with white heels and black top.
The Miami club scene has a strict dress code with girls wearing heels and men not wearing shorts. You can also go to their website to find out more specifics.
A lot of women I saw were wearing neon and black dresses so you can’t go wrong w them. Men were wearing a mix of “bar” scene and business casual.
Activities
Even though you may be going to Miami to party, you should look at events in the area.
For instance, they were having a Barbie Cafe pop-up so my friend and I decided to go. I found it on a BucketList website so you can look there if you want to go, as well.
You can read about the experience here: We Went To The Malibu Barbie Cafe – Here’s What To Expect.
Another thing you should do is explore the city (but keep aware of your surroundings!!). They had a whole line of local businesses and restaurants right across the street from the hotel so we spent a day there.
Final Thoughts & FAQs
Miami was fun but definitely a spring break trip. The big tourist attraction is the clubbing so it’s only “worth” going, in my opinion, if you want to club.
How much did it cost? The total trip cost me a little less than $1,500 for 3 nights. That includes gas, hotel, club, and more. You can do it for cheaper but those phantom costs are real so plan to spend at least $1000.
Would I go again? Honestly no. Maybe for a bachelorette party… but once was enough. The club scene was fun but you could party wherever and trying new places was more fun.
Was traffic bad? The traffic was horrible. You should expect to wait an hour in traffic when you’re in Miami and definitely bring a friend to help you when you’re in the city.
How much was the parking? OMG! Parking cost for the 3 nights is about $300 so make sure to include that in your budget but if you bring people, you all can split it.
